Parallel to the work being carried out on the deck, in the rear part of the hull the shaft for the propeller well was drilled.

In this view of the port side from the stern of the Anitra you can see in the upper part of the stern post the bore hole for the well.

To be able to drill the shaft for the well accurately, the measurements from the lines drawing were carefully transferred to the hull.

Everything was taped on the hull, so that all the boat builders involved know exactly where the shaft has to be drilled and where the supporting parts, such as the frames, are located.
