Production of the new steel frames The company Werner Bauer in Radolfzell manually produced all 68 steel frames and floor plates in precision workmanship. They were able to refer to original drawings, as well as the measurements we took by hand. Here you can see a delivery of floor plates for the bow section of the Anitra. They serve as the connection of the wooden frames on the port side and the starboard side across the keel wood in the keel section. All the metal frames were galvanized and then covered with a protective coating against salt water. |

Over 100 individual parts Over the months, the Martin shipyard received deliveries of over 100 parts. Here you can see the different parts of the frames for the hull around the mast area.

Heavy deliveries Altogether, over 2.6 tons of steel frames were rebuilt or repaired. Here you can see that some of the parts have already been put together - at least for one half of the hull. All of this work was carried out - where possible - outside of the hull, which was easier. |
