Work in construction groups 3 and 4

Construction group 3:

The hull is aligned rigidly using steel supports. Diagonal square timber stiffeners inside the hull serve as a brace and prevent the hull from deforming.

Construction group 4:

This sketch shows the work planned for construction group 4: keel, stem, stern post, stern beam, and transom.

Above all, the many steel supports are needed to keep the shape of the hull stable.
