Sailing and Motor Yachts in Mahogany and Teak

Perspectives

Different sizes

Different sizes

At this hatch you can clearly see that the cross beams and the longitudinal braces have different diameters and thicknesses.

King plank

You can make out the king plank between the two hatches, which lies across the mid ship´s line.

Beam clamp

Beam clamp and bracket

Brackets are fitted to several places, like the bulkhead on the left, which have to absorb the enormous forces.

Here you can clearly make out the fixture of the beam clamp. It is screwed to each frame with several screws.
Furthermore you can see the rivets with which the wooden frames were attached to the hull, and the steel screws with which the steel frames were attached to the hull.

Further photos will be included as the work continues.
