Keel is positioned underneath the hull

Even though it seems like a paradox at first: we actually manouver the yacht over the keel, which stands underneath.

To do this we need a stable crane and a very sensitive crane operator.

Millimetre work

Manouvering the yacht in three dimensions exactly over the keel requires good visual judgement.

Patience

It can take some time until the middle line of the yacht has been positioned exactly above the keel.

Lowering

The yacht is then slowly lowered millimetre by millimetre onto the specially prepared framework.
